Hi, everyone! This week I’m taking a break from talking about the myriad things that interest me to let you guys in on some updates to my website. Since it’s been a while since I’ve subjected you to a post like this (exactly 14 weeks, in fact), I don’t feel too bad about writing one now. Besides, these are exciting updates! No more talk about how I’m changing my posting schedule or how you can subscribe to follow me on email or other logistics. I'm adding some new work to the website!
By the end of the day next Friday there will three new pieces posted to my website. Two of them will be short stories, and the last will be a spoken word poetry video. I don’t want to say very much about them here (I need to give you guys incentive to go and actually read/watch them, after all), but I’ll tell you that one of the short stories is an exploration of a mental illness, while the other is a retelling of a well-known bible tale. The spoken word poem is something of a homage to atypical inspirations. All of them were an incredible amount of fun to put together, and I think they represent some of my best writing and performance yet.
You'll be able to find these pieces under the “my work” section of my website, titled “The Cradle of Eden,” “Disordered,” and “What I Owe to Bees.” "Disordered" is already posted, "What I Owe To Bees" will be up by the end of the weekend, and "The Cradle of Eden" will be available by the end of the day next Friday at the latest. I hope you’ll check them out, and that you enjoy them!
With excitement and optimism,
